Roots & Rhythms, featuring members of Rinebloom and musician friends, is our Folk Ensemble at residence of the Immanuel School of Music (ISM). The group was formed in 2022 and its goal is "Preservation of American Folk Music!" All members are dedicated to the community's needs, with a targeted focus on serving the community, outreach, and enrichment.
ABOUT IMMANUEL SCHOOL OF MUSIC
The members teach private lessons to over 65 students at ISM. The members are active in the ISM as they offers classes / events for Fretted Strings, Jimmy Rinehart and Rhythmic Studies, Julie Geiman.
Fretted Strings Programs: offers an introduction to fretted string instruments and repertoire. Group classes are offered after-school for 5th - 8th graders in local Kentucky elementary schools and at family group classes at our ISM campuses.
Rhythmic Studies and Rhythmic Studies Events: offered as private lessons and pop-up events, these pursuits puts focus on enhancing rhythmic understanding through focused activities that increase your confidence playing music. Rhythmic Studies meets your needs at your current musical level.
Each member has thriving cross-generational private studios at ISM as they embrace music is a timeless art welcome to all ages and abilities.
Roots & Rhythm continues to reach and positively impact the community through events, workshops, and classes with the Immanuel School of Music.
Roots & Rhythms Folk Ensemble is thankful for the
Appalachian Community Development Association and the Appalachian Festival
for the support of our ISM outreach program and for being selected as a grant recipient.
We are excited to share our "Roots & Rhythm Project" with ISM students and keep folk & Americana music alive & thriving with our community performances.
